Responsibilities:
- Participate in New Product Development Phase Reviews and Design Reviews
- Partner with R&D to determine and define design inputs, design outputs
- Create and support the development and validation of ne test method
- Develop the strategy and manage the execution of design verification and validation
- Extensive experience/ knowledge of phase gate design process
- Expert in writing protocols and reports for design verification, design validation, biocompatibility
- Expert in creating risk management files, DFMEA, UFMEA
- Extensive understanding of medical standards ISO13485, IEC 60601, MDR etc.
- Deep understanding and ability to apply medical standards to write Design Control Process, SOP's
- Strong knowledge of what is required for regulatory
- Lead innovation of technology in medical product family. Self-driven
- Create and complete advanced development projects (LEAP)
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers as required
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to work with various vendors to identify processes required for new design
- Technical Leader in Medical Products
What your background should look like:
- 4 year University degree in engineering
- 8-10+ years in medical device design engineering
- Experience in material formulation and characterization
- Previous component design
- Strong design for quality background (DFSS)
- Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with internal and external technical personnel
- Ability to prioritize tasks between R&D and manufacturing
- Able to utilize scientific methods in problem solving
- Ability to utilize 2D and 3D and 3D CAD software is a plus
- Advance communication skills
COMPENSATION:
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $118,600- $178,000 year (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
